Star

Star was brought into the sanctuary at only 3 and a half weeks old in dire need of vet's attention. His front paws were in a praying position and his back legs spread out like wings. The position of his front paws meant he was unable to get milk from his mother.

Jackie took little Star to the vets immediately and was told he was in a bad way. The vet and Jackie reached an agreement that she would bring Star in once a week so his progress could be closely monitored. At this stage it was thought he would have very little change of surviving.

Star's routine became bottle feeds every two hours and physio 4 times a day. After 5 weeks his back legs begun to gain strength and he started to put on weight. Since then he has gone from strength to strength. Recently his front paws have separated and although still slightly deformed he is able to run up and down the sanctuary like any normal kitten. He has now been discharged from the weekly vet visits with a full bill of health.

In such a short time it shows that care, attention and a lot of determination can take a little kitten like Star from no chance of survival to a full bill of health. We all wish Star a happy healthy future.
